Food Resources
COVID-19 has changed everyone's life and Buffalo continues to take steps to ensure that every City resident has access to the food they need. In caring for each other in extraordinary ways, we compiled this list of information to access basic needs in our community.

Food Resource Search

The Seeding Resilience initiative has aggregated food-related resources available in Buffalo. The map below will update weekly to display new resources compiled by this initiative. To view the source data, check out the Food Resources In Buffalo NY map.
To search for a food resource near you, open the right-side filter column, select "point", and enter your address. To limit your results and only include free options (shown in light blue), use the "Cost" filter and select "Free Resource." You can also use the same filters on the table below to find resources close to home.

As our communities continue to respond to COVID-19, meal sites have been established across the City of Buffalo to help feed our City's youth.

Food Delivery & Pick Up Options

Experts have good news for burned out home chefs. According to the Food and Drug Administration's current guidance, "there is no evidence to suggest that food produced in the United States can transmit COVID-19." The World Health Organization confirmed this in February, and food safety authorities are keeping close tabs on the latest research.
As long as you order food and get it delivered with social distancing guidelines in mind, there's a very low risk of coming in contact with the novel coronavirus. Takeout and food delivery can be a great way to support local restaurants and protect the public health in the Buffalo community.
The Buffalo Food Makers Collaboration was created to pool strengths and create a one-stop shop for people to buy local and get the added benefit of safe home delivery.
To order, call Kissed By The Sun Spice Co. at (716) 435-0092 or email info@kissedbythesunspiceco.com with your order and address. Items are also available for curbside pickup at the new Kissed By The Sun Facility located at 4558 Bailey in Amherst, NY (In Whole Foods Plaza).
Buffalo Food Makers also welcomes any local food producers who would like to offer their items for delivery to reach out by phone or email.
